Post 10: English Language Challenges

I really like this subject because the teaching has been awesome. The activities in the classroom, the listening and the participation has been very important to practice and learn English.
The use of the blog became in a great strategy to start to practice the grammar, the use of the sentences and the verbs inside them. And other important aspect is the coherence in the sentences because if you don't write well no one can understand you.
Also, this blog helped me to know better my classmates and be closer among us.
I think that I need to improve my writing and my redaction of the sentences and also my formal use of the language. I plan to do more exercises at home and unload apps for more practice.
Outside the English class I'm use a lot of English because I like to practice with my little brother. I think that the education of the language since early age is a benefit in the adult future, because when you get older is more difficult to learn languages.
Also, in my house I'm like to watch TV programs in English so I watched without subtitles to understand quickly and the better way the contens.

I'm so grateful of Miss Zagal for teaching me English two years followed.
She is a great teacher and a beautiful person.
I'm very sure that it will go very well in her life and profession.
Thanks for everything ! It was very cool!

Post 9: Changes to my Study Program

Social Work was re opened in the University of Chile in 2014 and that has allowed to make curriculum changes almost every years in benefit for the next generations.
The subjects that I have to study with my classmates has been diverse. In first grade we had many philosophy subjects relationated with Social work.
In second grade we had Social Psychology and actually in Third grade we have subjects about natural disaster, Risk management and sustainability and social impact.
The workload it is tough, in fact every year increase. The length of the study are five years and you will be go out with your title and your license of Social Worker.
About the faculty facilities I am very satisfied with the building and infrastructure but I wish that the classroom were bigger. The use of technology also are tough, especially with programs of social sciences.
Every teacher has a different teaching methods, there are someone that are very boring but others are very dynamic and very good teachers.

I still love my career, but to be honest I want to go out soon of the University jaja

Post 6: Postgraduate Studies

Postgraduate Studies uff! so many things and studies come to my mind when I wonder about my studies in the future. First, I think that after finishing my career I would like to work for a couple of years, save money and pay myself a diploma course or master. I am not sure if I would like to study out of Chile, but one of the reasons to do a diploma course or a master is that I want to specialize in area of Gender.
At the moment, the University of Chile counts with CIEG (Interdisciplinary Center for Gender Studies) which have diploma courses and a master in Culture and Gender Studies.
I would like to take the diploma course named "Gender Theory, Development and Public Policies" which costs less than the master (costs $1.211.800) and it is a part time course that would allow me to match my work and my studies.

Perhaps at the finish of my studies I think study abroad!!

Thank's for reading!

I hope you have a interesting postgraduate studies.

Post 5: My Future Job

To be honest, project my future job is kind a difficult to me because I´m a very proactive person and I would like to work in everything anywhere jaja
But, this year I´ll be thinking that my wanted job (maybe, I´m not sure yet) will be relationated with natural disaster and risk management.
The social work is very important for this area and for me is a interesting challenge. Am coursing my third year in the university (studying Social work). This year I took a subject call "Social Intervention in Extreme Phenomena" witch it is the key for knowledge about the management risk and disaster.
I imagine my future job outdoor with a half working day jaja in an organization working with diverse professionals all together. Also I would like to travel a lot for the world, in fact I wish could know the ONU !
Work in an office don´t bother to me, but I don't wanna be all day in there. Well, the social workers can't stay in an office all the time because they have to do outdoor work like home visits.

Post 4: Someone I would like to meet

Someone I would like to meet in this life is Malala Yousafzai. She is Pakistan, she is 21 years old and lives in UK with her family.
She lived in Swat Valley until 2012; That year she became a target of Taliban murderers and received a shot gun in the left side of her head. She woke up 10 days later in a Hospital in Birmingham, England.
That act was for the labor that Malala did in her village and country regarding to give education to girls, because in 2008 that was prohibited from the political control of Talibans.
That was the beginning of a fight for the children, girls and women rights to learn.
The most admirable aspect about Malala is her strength and her ability to speak in front of an entire unequal regimen just being 15 years old.
The most important accomplishment  Malala has achieved is her Nobel Prize Laureate; She is the youngest person in the world who has received that prize!
Also she has a foundation named Malala Fund which is responsible to give education programs for girls around the world.

Since 2012 she and her's family can not returned to Pakistan and has a documental with her life named "He named me Malala".

She is a really love symbol.

Post 3: My favorite Movie

My favorite movie is "Schindler's list". The principal actor is Liam Neeson playing as a nazi and businessman Oskar Schindler. Ralph Fiennes (better known as Voldemort) playing as a principal nazi major and Ben Kingsley (better known as Ghandi) is the Jewish secretary of Schindler.
The story takes place in Krakow, Poland in 1939 in the beginning of World War II when the nazis started to take the Jewish people to concentration fields to murder them. At the same time Schindler  began to get rich with his weapon factory. In there, all the staff was Jewish because Schindler, even though he was a nazi, He would like to save as many innocent Jewish lives as he could.
My favorite part is in the end, when Schindler started to create a list with all the Jewish workers of his factory and he saved them from death. And also the part when he says goodbye to all the Jewish staff, and the workers give him a golden ring that contains a writing on it that says:  "Saving one person is saving the whole world" in Hebrew. That was the War started to end and Schindler and his wife had to run away form Poland, so the workers get dressed with their pijamas suits.
I love this film because it is a movie of Stephen Spielberg. Also it´s a black and white movie and lasts 3 hours. It contains a social, political and Religions trama and it´s so interesting to watch.
I wouldn't change anything about the movie, because it is a master piece.

Post 2: The best concert ever

The best concert I've seen was The Joshua Tree Tour of U2 on October 14 th of 2017 in the National Stadium.
I gave the ticket to my Mom because her birthday is in October 13 th, and her favorite band is U2. So we went together; I remember that it was a very hot day and there were a lot of people doing lines.
When we was on the field of the Stadium, we saw the stage and it was the Joshua Tree!!!
In the front part there was a big screen, and a lot of loudspeakers.
The Noel's Gallagher band (ex Oasis) was the first to come out.
Half an hour after the show of Noel's Gallagher band ended, the lights of the stadium were off, and the drummer of U2 came out, took a seat and started to play the drums!! All the people who were in the field started to jump and scream and suddenly all the band appeared on the stage. The screen was on and we saw Bono in first plane, that was so beautiful jaja
For a few seconds I lost my Mom in the crowd until we found each other and we were still together all the show.
The photograph and the special graphics of the videos that was displayed on the screen was awesome. You could see all the details on it.
My favorite part of the concert was when Bono started to sing a song which talks about the women around the world and a lot of pictures of all the greatest women ever like Malala, Gabriela Mistral, Angela Davis  appears on the screen.

The sound of the band and the voice of Bono is the same as in the begging.

I love all of this concert!

Post 1: The country I would like to visit

The country I would like to visit is Brazil, because it is a beautiful country that has a lot of awesome places to see, like “Cristo Corcovado”, “Pan de azucar”, the Maracaná Stadium, etc.
The local people seem to be nice, great, happy, very friendly and that’s  what I really like.
I know that the money in Brazil is called “Real” and it costs $160 Chilean Pesos. Also, there  exists different ways to travel in Brazil such as subway, bus, taxi and a plane.
The famous drink called “Caipirinha” and it’s made with pineapple and a liquor called “cachaça”.
The famous Brazilian food is a “Feijoada” and it´s prepared with black beans and meat.
If I traveled to Brazil, I would like to visit Rio de Janeiro , climb to “Cristo Corcovado” and go to the Ipanema, Copacabana and Leblon beaches.
I would like to study in Brazil, because my career, which is Social Work, is a lot of theory and intellectual writers who are from Brazil.
And If I studied in Brazil, I would like to live and work there, because I want to stay for a long looooong time.

Te vejo em breve Brasil !!!
